I'm glad that I found out about these Tifosi sunglasses with 1.5X readers built in. I am far sighted so I need corrective lenses to read my GPS or smartphone. With the Crit Fototec Tifosi 1.5X reader sunglasses I can see clearly in the distance and also read my handheld electronics when necessary. I love the Fototec feature so I can use the same glasses in bright light and dim light.
The Crit sunglasses with the Crystal Black Fototec lenses are worth every penny. They’re great for dark to very bright conditions. Very comfortable with no slippage and no discomfort under my helmet.

Purchased a pair of the Crit with three interchangeable lenses. Very good fit, lightweight and comfortable. Also purchased the Enliven golf lens separately. Very good product at this price point. The Enliven golf lens lens enhances visibility on the golf course without effecting depth perception which is a problem with a lot of other products I have used over the years. BUT...changing out the 'interchangeable' lenses is just about impossible for a senior with diminished hand strength. It was difficult for a much younger assistant as well. If I had to do it over, I would have just purchased the glasses with the Enliven golf lens and got something else for driving, biking, etc.
I just lost my Tifosi’s I had ridden with for over a decade. I have several pairs of Italian and American made top brand glasses that I use for driving and motorcycle riding… man they’re awful for cycling. They’re not ventilated and fog up at the drop of a dime. And I certainly don’t want a goofy large set that Patrick mahomes models for; give me a break.
So, I had to turn back to the Tifosi sunglasses. I love the safety glasses feel to these, like my glasses at work. I grabbed a few lenses and currently have the progressive light tint on there now. I haven’t ridden on the street with these yet since it’s been in the teens, but I did shovel snow with them and not a single fog mark. My previous pair of Tifosi’s were used from the 20’s to the 90’s temperatures with no issues.
For the money I really can’t imagine a better active set of glasses. These are made in Taiwan, not China. That’s an absolute plus.
Keep in mind they use USPS for free shipping. In my area, that’s the kiss of death. My original order got lost for well over a week. Tifosi volunteered to send another set through fedex and they arrived on time. Very nice of them, but it really doesn’t fix the logistical problem of the USPS.
