rivet frame and lens tech diagram

Customers praised these bifocal cycling glasses for enabling them to read bike computers and devices while riding. The photochromic lenses adapt well to changing light conditions. Most found them comfortable, lightweight, and well-fitting. Some noted the lenses don't darken enough in bright sun, and a few experienced discomfort with nose guards or minor distortion near readers.

RIVET Readers 2.5

RIVET Readers 2.5 for the WIN!!! I have progressive transition eyewear for everyday use and I've been wearing these glasses to cycle, but they aren't made for this kind of use. I really needed them to see my bike computer, and not slide down my nose every bump I go over. I worked with Tifosi customer support and I tried the 1.5 Readers first, but they weren't strong enough. I had to squint to see the screen. After checking my prescription on my eyewear, I went with the Rivet 2.5 Readers, and they work great. It took a ride around the block to get used to the bifocal, but now I don't even notice. Customer support was professional and very helpful. I love my new glasses! The other great thing is they are affordable. Great job Tifosi!!

Do I love the fact that I need bifocals to ride?

Do I love the fact that I need bifocals to ride a bike? No. But I do love that I was able to find a high quality pair like these at a reasonable price. They took a little while to get used to, but the transition is actually at the perfect place to be able to see my head unit without needing to tilt my head down. My only complaint is that they don't offer these in more styles and lens types. This is the only model designed for bright sun. I would love to see them in more styles and options. If they made these with a polarized lens it would be perfect for fishing.

Great product

Sadly, I contracted bell's palsy and have been unable to ride. But the glasses are so helpful to protect my eye that was effected & be able to read. I can't wait to hit the road again. And the tint is perfect for indoors.

Love the photochromic lenses, diopter could higher up the lenses.

I do not have corrected vision but have had to use readers for over 10 years. I’ve had other brands with the diopter before but thought I would try the photochromic lenses since I go through rapidly changing light conditions while riding my mountain bike. Really liked the photochromic lenses but if you’re in constant bight light conditions, normal dark lenses might be preferred. My only suggestion would have the diopter go higher up the lenses. I have to tilt my head up more than I’m used to while using the diopter. Something I’ll have to adapt to like learning the features to a new car. Would highly recommend.

Decent but not great

Positives
Great customer service. First pair got lost in the mail So I emailed Togo’s and the immediately sent a second pair by fed ex. Very comfy and a solid build.
Cons
There is a little distortion near the reader and for me it’s enough I can’t wear when working on computer. Also they don’t get as dark outside as I expected. Still squinting in bright sun. Overall decent but not great

RIVET Satin Vapor Blue Fototec

Outstanding glasses, great fit, great coverage, and the transition lense is unbeatable. The go from medium dark to dark smoothly and quickly. The blue mirror finish is so nice. I have 3 different fototec lenses and really like all of them but these are probably most suited for full sun outdoor activities. The red ones don't start quite as dark but get fully as dark as the blue. So these are perfect if you're going to be soaking up all the sun. You can't beat the fit. These glasses come with a cleaning cloth bag and a stellar zippered hard case. For all this, and great looking transition sunglasses, there's no way you can beat this deal.

Perfect combination

The Rivet with light transition lens and 1.5 bifocal for reading and my Garmin Edge 1040 bike computer is the perfect combination. Shades are comfortable, great quality and an awesome price. They look fantastic and best of all, I can see perfectly both computer and road ahead and to the side.

Great for cycling

I am a road cyclist and need glasses that do not fog up and sit comfortably for the long rides. I normally wear Oakley‘s, but I was tired of the same big style. I love these glasses, especially the photo tech lenses as I ride before Dawn, but need the shades for the sunrise. I love these glasses.

A good choice for indoor/outdoor use

I have a regular pair of Tifosi glasses(Intense) that I really like, but I find there are are times when I go in and out of the sun and needed something not as dark. The Rivet glasses are great for this. They allow me to go from dark to light and not have to flip my glasses up and down. I forget they are on sometimes because they transition so well. They are also light and comfortable. I came inside the other day and left them on until my wife asked why I was still wearing my glasses (I had forgotten the were still on). I like how they transition so gradually that it's not noticeable. I wish they would go a little darker in the bright sun, but they are dark enough that I don't feel the need to wear my traditional lenses pair.

Comfortable Fototec shades

I probably have as many running sunglasses as I have running shoes and Tifosi are my favorites. I decided to try the Rivet with the fototec lenses and they were great. They were lightweight, comfortable, and did not bounce. My route today varied from full sun to full shade and the fototec lenses allowed me to see well in the shade and not need to squint in the sun.

Rivet-My absolute favorite

I have been wearing Tifosi sunglasses for 2 years now. As a long distance marathon runner sunglasses are a critical part of my everyday training and raceday gear. The vented lenses provide great air flow and anti fog while running even on the most warm and humid days. These glasses are truly no bounce. I wouldn’t run in anything else.

Great glasses and great value.

My Rivert Readers are a great fit, don't slip down the nose or change position o around the ears. Í feel finally liberated from choosing from overpriced and "trendy"sunglasses and readers and have found what works best for me.

Great riding and all-round sunglasses.

I love my Tifosi glasses. I have a Rail, Crit and now the Rivet. All three are great. I am happy that you can add the reader to other models. It really helps to read the bike control monitor while riding. All three provide great eye coverage - especially the Rail. I use these glasses for walking and driving too!

Pleasantly Surprised

Since I have several pairs of Tifosi sunglasses I ordered the readers once I found them. I didn't know they would be what they but I am happy they are made the way they are. I expected the entire lens to be the magnification but when I received them they just had the lower part for magnification. Perfect for night driving.

Uncertain Declaration on Tifosi Readers for Golf

I anticipated the receipt of these Sun Glasses would be an astonishing revelation enabling me to both accurately see my scorecard and project with ease the score I had attained.
IT DID THIS PERFECTLY
and
The SUNGLASS PROTECTION was impeccable with complete clarity.
However, I am disappointed in the fashion tinhow he nose guards peform.
They hurt no matter how adjusted.
Unfortunately my excitement was dampened by the several attempts to justify wearing the potentially wonderful performance due to the uncomfortable nose guards and I went back to wearing my Oakley's.

Great Glasses

The glasses are awesome. When in the woods and it’s dark the lenses become almost clear and I can see the map through my 1:50 lens. Works Great!
