Cycling sunglasses praised for comfortable fit, accurate prescription, and wide field of view. Customers said "RX is spot on" and fit well with helmets. However, prescription lens design creates a visible ridge where lenses are attached, causing cosmetic concerns. "The frame is good," but lens installation method disappoints some shoppers seeking sleeker appearance.

Things to know about the Prescription Rx Sanctum Sunglasses

The overall quality of the Prescription Sanctum sunglasses glasses are good, and I use them as my main Rx cycling sunglasses for now. The green rims are sweet.
I did not realize when I ordered these that the prescription lens would not be flush with the outer non-Rx lens portion. I have posted pictures here to show the sharp ridge that is created by the outer non-Rx lens being overlay mounted to the inner Rx lens. I think I will be constantly cleaning dirt out of that ridge. And since that ridge is on the outside lens face, I'm sure everyone else will see the dirt before I do. Great. One other thing to note is that from the inside (user's point of view), the Rx lens is a darker, cooler (much bluer?) of a lens shade than the outer lens, which is warm tint. I also posted a pic taken from the inside of the glasses so you can see this difference.
All that being said, they are a nice pair of Rx sunglasses - comfortable, great fit and eye protection.

The frame is good, lens not great

The frame is good. The way the prescription lens is add to the glass, make the glasses look weird. They cut a hole in the regular lens then glue the prescription len on the inside cause a lip / ridge on the outside of the lens. Not sure why they did not glue the prescription lens to the inside of the regular lens. The glasses does work.

Sanctum RX great cycling glasses

I just received my RX Sanctums and have gotten a few rides on my road bike with them. They are very nice, the RX is spot on, and field of view is clear and wide. The glasses are lightweight and fit nicely with a bike helmet as the ear sweeps don't get caught up with the back of the helmet. RX sunglasses for cycling are pretty hard to find, and ordering them is always a pain. Tifosi is straight forward, and they share the range of RX's the work for each frame style. Unlike Oakley, which I've used for years and was always frustrated on trying to order only to find out the frame I wanted wouldn't work for my RX. Plus these are much more reasonably priced.

The glasses are ok but there was a very sharp edge where they introduce the lenses. It was not what i was expecting for prescription sport lenses. Overall good buold quality outside of the prescription part. The prescription lenses really make them stand put and not in a good way.

Prospective buyers of the prescription lens version of the Sanctum shades should take note of the shape of the installed lenses. The lenses don’t extend to the edge of the frame. There is a considerable gap between the prescription lens and the frame causing a “badger eyes” look for the shades. I wish I had paid closer attention before buying as the Rx version of the Sanctum doesn’t share the sleek and cool look of the non-prescription version.
