Alliant frame and lens tech diagram

Customers praised these cycling glasses for their lightweight, comfortable fit with adjustable nose/temple pieces that stay secure during activity. The photochromic lenses adapt well to changing light conditions, though some noted they don't darken enough in bright sun. Excellent ventilation prevents fogging in humid conditions. Outstanding value compared to premium brands.

I am so happy with this pair of cycling glasses. This was my first pair I’ve bought from Tifosi and I am very impressed. I just placed an order for another pair as well. I definitely recommend them.

Perfect cycling glasses

The fototec lenses always seem to have the right tint. Felt good on my giant head too. Comfortable while riding fast and handled wind buffeting well.

Chasing PBs with Clear Vision: My Tifosi Alliant Running Companion

As a dedicated runner who logs miles rain or shine, having reliable eyewear is crucial. Sun glare, wind, and even stray debris can be real distractions. After struggling with sunglasses that bounced, slipped, or just didn't offer the right level of protection, I decided to try the Tifosi Alliant sunglasses, specifically looking for a model with the Fototec (photochromic) lens. My primary motivation for choosing the Alliant with Fototec was the convenience of not having to switch lenses based on the ever-changing light conditions during my runs. Living in a tropical climate like the Philippines, the sun can go from intense to partially cloudy in a matter of minutes, especially during those unpredictable afternoon showers. From my very first run with the Alliant, I was impressed. The fit was immediately noticeable. The adjustable nose and temple pads allowed me to customize the fit perfectly to my face. Unlike previous sunglasses that would slide down my sweaty nose after just a few kilometers, the Alliant stayed firmly in place. The hydrophilic rubber truly lives up to its promise – it actually seemed to grip better as I started to sweat, which was a game-changer. The Fototec lenses were the real star of the show. On a morning run that started under a bright, clear sky and transitioned into some shaded areas along the city pathways, the lenses adjusted seamlessly. I never felt like I was squinting in the bright sun or that my vision was too dark in the shade. The transition was smooth and subtle, allowing me to focus entirely on my pace and breathing without any visual distractions. I've also taken the Alliant out on afternoon runs when the sun is at its peak. The lenses darkened sufficiently to cut down on glare without distorting colors too much. This was a huge improvement over some of my older, heavily tinted sunglasses that made it difficult to see details on the pavement. Another significant benefit I've experienced is the ventilation. Living in the humid climate of Metro Manila, fogging is a constant battle with any eyewear. While no sunglasses are completely immune in extreme humidity, the vented design of the Alliant lenses has significantly reduced fogging compared to my previous experiences. Even during intense intervals when I'm pushing my limits and sweating profusely, the lenses have remained relatively clear. Any minor fogging I've experienced usually dissipates quickly once I pick up the pace and airflow increases. The lightweight frame is also a major plus for running. I barely notice I'm wearing them, which is exactly what you want when you're trying to focus on your stride and rhythm. They feel sturdy enough to handle the rigors of regular use, and the lenses have proven to be quite durable against accidental bumps and scratches. In conclusion, the Tifosi Alliant sunglasses with Fototec lenses have become an essential part of my running gear. They provide a secure and comfortable fit that doesn't budge during intense workouts, and the photochromic lenses offer exceptional versatility in varying light conditions. The reduced fogging and lightweight design further enhance the overall running experience. If you're a runner looking for reliable, high-performing sunglasses that adapt to changing light without breaking the bank, I highly recommend giving the Tifosi Alliant Fototec a try. They've definitely helped me stay focused and enjoy my runs even more, allowing me to chase those personal bests with clear vision.

Alliant review

I chose the Alliant model sunglasses because I was interested in the ability to change out lenses to best match the outside conditions that day. I have used both the tinted lenses so far (have not tried the clear ones). The glasses fit well on my oversized head. The no slip nose piece works great when do a high cardio activity. The zippered case and separation sleeve for the lenses provides a great package for protection and storage.

Best Cold Weather Glasses

I have tried many different pairs of Glasses trying to find a pair that will resist fogging in the winter. We ride in Utah in the 20s (and lower) for 3 months of the year, and I've struggled with fogged up glasses on my ride; I've even drilled holes in the lenses (of other glasses) for ventilation. These glasses work as long as I keep moving. My brow keeps air from circulating from the top of most glasses. The alliants have good ventilation at the top of the lenses, and the nose piece is adjustable to hold the top of the glasses away from my brow. They also cover above the eyes so they work good in the drops.

Fabulous Glasses for biking, hiking and hanging out

These glasses minimize fogging, work great on my long bike rides, boat trips to the islands and hanging with friends by the shore. We live on an island so sun and water glare is a big problem. These glasses handle it well.

Alliant life expectancy = 3 years

Alliant for cycling use.

Pro’s = stay put on nose/face while in riding position, do not fog even during use in hot, humid weather.

Con’s= ear-piece rubber deteriorates, splits, and becomes sticky after a couple of years. Most used AC Red lense will begin to crack at bridge of nose within 3 yrs. See pics with 3 yr old pair missing earpiece and crack developing in lense on right, and newly purchased replacement pair on left.

At $70 sale price I decided to replace with new identical pair. Still using 6 year old pair on which AC Red lense split.

These were a great discovery

These were a great discovery. I like the tiny vents allowing for air flow, haven’t fogged up yet in the humidity. Fits great with the helmet, and I’m looking forward to getting the rx insert for them.

The fototec feature is really great

The fototec feature is really great. I don’t need sunglasses when I use these safety glasses. Really light weight to wear and stay in place during play. This was my second pair of glasses.

Excellent customer service

Im blown away with the customer service that I received from Tifosi. I would give them 6 stars if I could. The glasses that I purchased had very minimal light transition and didnt get dark enough for my needs. Tifosi reached out and went above and beyond to make sure I was satisfied.

These are comfortable, great fitting sunglasses for cycling. Bought them to replace another pair that got stepped on.🙁. They’re light & followup facial contours well. Ventilation holes help keep them from fogging up. I would give the frames a 5/5, my only mild criticism is that I wish they got slightly darker with the auto darkening feature.
Tifosi glasses are a phenomenally good value for the price!
