I've used these for driving, hiking (up to 14,000' peaks), trail running, biking, rock climbing, and canyoneering; they're excellent for all uses. Lens optics are excellent; as good or better than a pair of Julbo's I also have. I have the Clarion Blue/AC Red/Clear lens set and have been very impressed with the ambient light range the Clarion Blue lens works in; I've only once swapped for the AC Red sense on a cloudy day. Ear pieces don’t interfere with the cinch system on helmets (I’ve used these both with a climbing and a half-shell MTB) unlike some other glasses I’ve had.
I already own the regular sledge glasses and really liked those. I now use them for mountain biking with the clear lenses . The sledge lite are obviously lighter which is nice but they are also ventilated better . I wear the lites for road biking which mostly what I do.
Tifosi really nailed it for me on this one. I ride road and gravel with these a few times a week, through summer and into fall now. The interchangeable lenses are nice. I’ve dropped them multiple times and haven’t had any damage to the lenses yet, which is more then I can say for my other big name brand if I look at them wrong. If I get them to fog up when I’m stopped, they clear up incredibly quick when I start moving again.
The Sledge Lite is perfect for MTB / XC trail. Lightweight, breathes well so it doesnt fog up, and the Fototec means it allows the perfect amount of light through from open fields and into the single track.
Love the multiple lenses when I’m skiing and biking in different levels of sun. The bright lenses reduce sunlight, the low light are awesome, and the clear are great when the weather requires them. Would recommend for any Nordic skier. My only gripe is the force needed to remove the lenses. Even though I know they won’t break, you have to pull a little more than is confortable to remove them.
