Crit Readers

These are excellent sunglasses with readers so I can see my bike computer riding and my watch when running. Tifosi customer service is amazing and focused on the customer.

I have tried many sunglass systems and until receiving the Tifosi Crit readers with the FOTOtech lenses I had no idea how incredible sunglasses could be that not only adjust to the light, but also allow me to read when needed. These Tifosi Crit readers are amazingly comfortable with room for air to move through so that I don't fog up my lenses and they don't slip down on my nose at all. They're so comfortable and I couldn't be happier than with the Crit. They also let me see to the side. Perfect tint, that adjusts to the light from clear to dark - always just right! highly recommend!

I bought Rivet Readers+2.0, Veloce Readers +2.0, and Crit Readers +2.0. Of the three, the Crit readers have the best diopter and the Veloce has the worst. All three have the Fototec lenses which is nice especially in changing light conditions. If you depend on a diopter, I recommend the Crit Readers.

These Crit Readers for cycling are excellent, great fit, comfortable and the readers are in the correct position while riding.

I’ve worn Tifosi glasses for the past 20 years. I’ve recommended them to friends and sold them in the shops I’ve worked in.

On the positive side, I found the placement of the 2x portion of the lens to be great for reading my head unit and watch while riding.

The photochromatic lens is a nice feature, but seems to adjust to the light more slowly than my other Tifosi lenses.

The big drawback for me is that the ergonomics of the lens doesn’t block the wind well and my eyes were watering while riding. An unfortunate trade off between good riding glasses and being able to read my devices.

These have become my go-to shades when walking out of the house. I can even read the labels in the grocery store.

This is my 3rd pair, quality on this pair seems less than the other two, regular lens seems too thick and not very clear. $100 is pretty steep for what are basically bi-focal safety glasses.

Looks great and so convenient. I'm able to see my bike navigation computer while riding now.

I've been searching for glasses for driving at night. I don't need distance correction but need "reader" lenses for clearly seeing my dashboard and mapping display. I like the look at build of the Crit readers, but they just didn't work for my noggin. Felt a little tight (maybe I have a fat head?) and the reader lens was a a little low, so I'd have to tilt my head more than I was comfortable with to see the console. HOWEVER - I cannot say enough about Tifosi's customer support. They were outstanding in understanding the issue and assisting me with a timely return. Very nice folks to deal with.

Perfect for early morning ride starts before sunrise!

I had an issue with the readers I bought. The bottom portion of the readers were too small for me. Without asking me their customer service offered me two different styles of glasses that would work better for me. Once I picked the style I liked. They immediately sent me the replacement at no charge.

I am an avid cyclist and race quite a bit, so being able to see my bike computer and keep an eye on the road is extremely important. The Crit Readers have a larger lense area which helps with protecting your eyes from the wind. Would love Tifosi to also make a wrap-around version with the Reader strip just to further protect the eyes, but in the meantime, am happy with these.

Just purchased a set of these with light Fototek to play pickleball and protect my eyes. The very first session a ricochet drive hit off my partners’ paddle directly in the center of the glasses’ right eye. I would have lost my eye. I was totally protected and there wasn’t even a mark on the glasses. Love these!

These are my second pair of Crit readers. The first pair is now 9 yrs old and thanks to Tifosi I have been able to replace earpieces and lenses to keep them looking new. I have been starting my riding before sun rise and having to take a second pair of glasses to accommodate for light changing conditions is not practical. These readers with Fototec lenses provide the versatility that I needed for road and trail riding. I find the fit/comfort, style, quality, features and value unmatched.

I’ve already recommended to several members of my bike club in Portland. Many of us are 60+, so readers are really appreciated. I also like the fit and normal optics with sun adjusting lenses. Highly recommended

I have been using the Crit Readers for a number of years. These glasses offer superb clarity with zero distortion. The ventilation ports in the lenses help eliminate fogging. You can also order a variety of lenses and different color ear pieces to customize and change the look. The quality of the frame is superior to other brands that cost much more. Tifosi is my brand of choice for cycling glasses - value and performance.

Purchased the Crit Readers with Light Night Fototec. These glasses are the absolutely
fantastic. The Fototec feature darkens substantially in the outdoor sunlight which aides in keeping your vision perfect. The reader portion of the lense is situated perfectly for reading as needed. I need the 2.5 power option which functions perfectly for my use.

I got the light night fototec, +1.5 reader version of the Crit. This is my 5th pair of Crit glasses, so clearly, I love the fit. I have 2 other pairs of Crit glasses that are readers, 3 others that are Fototec, though this is my first pair that is light night. They worked very well on a recent ride in wet, dark, dreary conditions where there were occasional short bits where the sun broke through and everything was bright and glary. These didn't obstruct my view in the dark, cut some of the glare when it was bright, and let me see distance when required while also reading the numbers when I looked down. Absolutely do what they were purchased for.

These are as good as my high-end, far more expensive glasses, and the bifocal makes reading computer so much easier :)

I absolutely love these glasses and they brought the joy back in reading my cycle computer and relieved any anxiety around not seeing during trailside repairs. The reader portion is perfectly placed. No issues looking far and near clearly. It took no time to get used on the bike. The Fototec lenses proved to be perfect for my night rides and the blistering AZ sunshine. I love the fact that I only need one pair of glasses!

They are not without opportunities for improvement for Tifosi to consider. I have a small, long face and large, high nose. Thus I find the top of the frame to be in my top peripheral more than I would like and I have a gap underneath when looking way down. An reader lens/frame with a bit more lens coverage would be perfect for me! And, they should add more varieties of glasses with reader lenses.

I do like the Crit Readers for the fit. I have a similar product from Tifosi with bifocal readers. In comparison my older sunglasses they have taller bifocal readers that is much easier to focus with hardly any glare. With the Crit Readers I have a hard time seeing my bikes head unit in certain lighting conditions, a lot of glare, shadowing and have to get the head unit in frame just right to make out the image on the head unit along with shielding the sun with my hand. whereas the older style with larger optics I can read the head unit with a glance. Let's keep the frame style but fix the reader optic back to original design.

Fototec and readers great for cycling

Good quality eyewear. Photo chromatic shading is not very dark, which is perfect for me, but don't expect a dark lens. Provide a sturdy case with lens bag. Very happy with the purchase.

The glasses are perfect for seeing my Garmin and working on the bike trailside, so glad I made the jump!
