Lens Changing Instructions and Care and Use for Tifosi Aethon
Applies to the Tifosi Aethon model.
To Remove the Brow Bar:
- With the lens facing toward you, grip the lens with your thumb in front and index finger behind. Using the opposite hand place your thumb on the side of the brow bar and pull up with your index finger to release. Repeat for the other side to release from the lens.
To Remove the Strike Guard:
- With the lens facing toward you, grip the lens with your thumb in front and index finger behind. Using your opposite hand, grab the Strike guard side and gently pull down to release from the lens. Repeat for the opposite side.
To Remove the Lens:
- With the sunglass facing towards you, grip the lens with your thumb in front and index finger behind. Using your opposite hand, grab the top of the sunglass arm with your thumb and index finger. Gently pull the top pointed arm piece upwards and away from the lens.
- Pivot the sunglass arm down and away from the lens. Repeat for the opposite arm.
To Install the Lens:
- Grip the lens with your thumb front and index finger behind. Holding the arm with your opposite hand, fit the bottom lens anchor into the bottom notch of the arm.
- Pivot the arm upwards until it snaps into place. Repeat for the opposite arm.
To Install the Strike Guard:
- Grip the lens firmly with one hand and guide the nosepiece into the nose bridge notch with the opposite hand.
- Move your index finger to the top of the lens and gently push the nosepiece into the notch until it snaps into place.
- Gently press the sides of guard until they snap onto the lens.
To Install the Brow Bar:
- With the lens facing toward you, hold the lens with your thumb and index finger. With the opposite hand line up the brow bar to the center of the lens.
- Gently push one end into the notch until you hear a snap. Repeat for the opposite side.
Cleaning and Maintenance: Use the microfiber cleaning bag for storage and protection. If sunglasses are dirty, use the cleaning bag to wipe them. If needed, rinse with mild soap and warm water. We recommend regular cleaning and wiping to help maintain the lenses. Avoid the use of solvents, such as alcohol and acetone, and of aggressive cleaning chemicals, as these may impair the functionality of the sunglasses.
Storage: TIFOSI sunglasses should be kept in their case, to a temperature between -10C to 35C. Avoid exposure to sun without air conditioning in closed environments such on the dashboard of the car, because temperatures reached in these conditions can damage the functionality of the sunglasses. If the lenses are worn (eg, scratched or opaque), it is recommended to replace with genuine spare TIFOSI original parts.
