The PGA TOUR Partners testing pool is composed of club members wishing to provide in-depth feedback for the latest golf equipment and accessories. Members rated the Slip on its various features including a lightweight frame, adjustability and interchangeable lenses. Of the rated features, testers liked the Slip’s golf-specific lenses the most, scoring them 9.5 out of 10 for lens quality.

Member Scott Ramsey said the interchangeable lenses were “great in any condition on the course from cloudy to bright.”

Tester Robert Woo commented that his lenses were “very helpful on the green to see all the little bumps, mounds, etc.,” and that the Slip offered “great total eye protection” with the wraparound design.

“The PGA TOUR Partner’s Club Member-Tested program is a great way for us to stay in tune what avid golfers are looking for in a pair of sunglasses,” said Tifosi Optics CEO, Joe Earley. “We use tester feedback in every step of our design process.”

The Ventoux Earns PGA Tour Partners Club Member Tested Seal of Approval

Monday, November 10th, 2008

WATKINSVILLE, Ga. (November 3, 2008)—Tifosi Optics has once again earned the prestigious PGA Tour Partners Club Member Tested Seal of Approval.

The Ventoux earned a 98 percent recommended rating from the testing pool which was comprised of PGA Tour Partners Club magazine subscribers.

Each tester was asked by PGA Tour Partners to evaluate the Ventoux in categories such as style, performance and quality. Testers were given the opportunity to provide written feedback after wearing the glasses.

Many testers including Bob Buhowski liked the versatility of the three golf-specific interchangeable lenses that accompany the Ventoux. “Using the glasses gave me a better means to be able to pick up the ball flight even looking into a haze which is usually when I would lose sight of the ball,” said Buhowski.

Member Mike McCormack  said,“I usually do not wear sunglasses when I play, but after wearing these, I will. The clarity was unlike any other sunglasses I have worn. I think it actually enhanced my vision.”

When asked if the Ventoux was a good value at $59.95, 92 percent of respondents said ‘yes’ with several testers agreeing with member Kevin Farrell that the extra lenses are “like having three pairs of glasses for the price of one.”

The Ventoux is featured in the December 2008/January 2009 issue of PGA Tour Partners magazine. More information on the Tifosi Optics Ventoux and other golf-specific lens technology is available at www.tifosioptics.com.

Tifosi Optics Ventoux Shines in Spring Buyer’s Guides

Thursday, March 6th, 2008

WATKINSVILLE, Ga. (March 3, 2008) – Chilly mornings may still be driving people indoors, but spring buyer’s guides have outdoor enthusiasts across the country dreaming, planning-and buying- for the upcoming season.

BicyclingThanks to editorial reviews in Backpacker and Bicycling magazines, the Tifosi Optics Ventoux will be included in those spring dreams for thousands of enthusiasts.

New for 2008, the Ventoux combines broad lens coverage with what Backpacker describes as a “form fitting shape that doesn’t pinch.” Bicycling lauded the Ventoux’s adjustable ear and nose pads as well as its interchangeable lens capability.

Both testers appreciated the Ventoux’s weight-just 24 grams-as well as its affordable price, ranging from $59.95 for standard and Fototec options to $89.98 for Polarized Fototec options. Backpacker also gave the Fototec Ventoux its “Bargain!” rating for this year’s sunglass category.

“I knew we were on to something with the Ventoux when all of our prototypes kept mysteriously disappearing after testing sessions, said Tifosi Optics owner, Joe Earley. “We underwent several tedious revisions to achieve a high level of versatility with this piece and initial feedback has been positive from athletes across all of our markets.”
